Shipping terms
Updated:
These terms apply to every shipment you send with AV Logistics. Please read them before shipping, and message us on Zalo if you need advice.
Drop-off
- Bring your goods to an AV Logistics warehouse or office during opening hours (see our contact page), or book a time on Zalo.
- We weigh, measure and check your goods with you before packing.
- AV Logistics may refuse goods that break the rules of the route or the law.
Declaring your goods
- Declare the name, quantity and value of your goods correctly. This information goes on the customs declaration.
- Goods that are declared wrongly or incompletely may be held, returned or fined by customs; costs caused by a wrong declaration are paid by the sender.
- Each country has its own prohibited and restricted goods. The goods accepted on each route are listed on its route page under Services. For anything not listed, ask us before shipping.
Goods we do not ship
AV Logistics does not ship: weapons and weapon parts, explosives, flammable and hazardous chemicals, drugs and controlled substances, cash and negotiable documents, counterfeit goods or goods that infringe intellectual property, live animals, or anything banned by Vietnamese law or the destination country.
Packing
- We pack your goods at our warehouse to international shipping standards. Fragile items, liquids and food are packed following specific guidelines.
- If you pack your goods yourself, we may check them and suggest repacking for safety.
Chargeable weight and payment
- Shipping is charged on the chargeable weight: the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. The volumetric formula and rates are shown on each route page.
- Prices shown on the website or the calculator are estimates. The final price is confirmed after weighing, measuring and packing at our warehouse.
- VAT, insurance and any surcharges are confirmed before you agree to ship.
- The sender pays once, in Vietnam. Import duties and taxes in the destination country (if any) follow that country's rules; we tell you in advance when we know them.
Transit times
Transit times on route pages are estimates in business days from the flight or sailing date. Actual times may change because of flight schedules, weather, customs inspections, public holidays or force majeure.
Delivery
- Goods are delivered to the recipient address you give us. Please make sure the recipient's address and phone number are correct.
- The recipient should check the parcel on arrival and film or photograph it while opening. If the parcel looks damaged, please tell us straight away under our claims policy.
- Goods refused by the recipient or that cannot be delivered are handled as agreed with you; any return costs are paid by the sender.
